1. How to Clean Tarnish from Copper or Jeweller’s Bronze Jewellery

The best and easiest way is with a vibratory or rotary tumbler.  However, if you don’t have a tumbler, head for your fridge and pull out a bottle of lemon juice concentrate. Then grab a coffee mug. Pour an inch or so of the concentrate into the mug—enough to submerse your piece of jewellery. Drop your piece into the mug. Add a bit more juice if necessary. Check on the progress periodically. It shouldn’t take more than a minute or two to notice that the tarnish has disappeared. Wash your piece thoroughly under running water and set it to dry—or blow it dry with your hairdryer. That was easy!

Here is a photo of 3 pieces I just finished cleaning. The copper was dark brown and the jeweller’s bronze was dingy. I took  “before”  and “during” photos but used a flash, but the pictures are unusable. This is the only one that was a close-up without a flash.

The necklace on the left is a Mobius Flowers Necklace in Jeweller’s Bronze. The copper bracelet is the Caribbean Green Mobius Bracelet. The one on the right is a new kit, the Japanese Flowers Necklace in copper—except I changed the pendant for a nicer one. (A silver-filled version is also available).
