What kinds of metal wire do you use to make your rings?
At present we use regular sterling silver wire purchased in Canada and sized in millimeters. We also use tarnish-resistant Argentium™ sterling silver wire, 10% silver filled wire (925/10), copper wire, and Jeweller’s Bronze wire, all purchased in the U.S. and sized in America Wire Gauges (AWG).
Can you make other sizes of Sterling/Argentium/Copper/Jeweller’s Bronze rings?
Yes. We can make rings from 2mm to 12mm (Inside Diameter) in .5 mm increments. We can also make rings from 2mm to 7mm in .25mm increments. If you don’t see the ring size you want, just ask us.
We carry 12 gauge to 22 gauge wire for making rings.
We cannot make jump rings in SWG gauges.
Why is the thickness of the Sterling wire measured differently than the other metals?
We buy our sterling wire from a Canadian Source, but 1.0 mm wire compares closely to 18 gauge wire. If you look at the sterling wire price lists you will see that we have stated all the American Wire Gauge (AWG) equivalent sizes.
Are any rings welded/soldered/fused closed?
No, we do not carry any jump rings that are permanently closed.
Can you send me a current price list?
We have price lists for our jump rings. You can download them here as a pdf file and print them out. We don’t create price lists for any other products.
How can I clean the stainless steel shot in my tumbler?
Open a can of regular coca-cola, let it sit for a while, and then pour some into your tumbler with the stainless steel shot. Let the tumbler run for an hour or so, then pour the shot into a strainer and rinse it with lots and lots of water.
