Your Invitation…

Come and participate in an adventure with multimedia jewelry experts! You will spend a half-hour with each of three instructors of your choice—and walk away with a special, talisman necklace. Each instructor will teach 3 sessions during the evening, with a maximum of 7 students per teacher each session.

Our instructors are: Meredith Arnold (mixed media and wire); Marilyn Gardiner (chainmail); [ FULL Susan Lenart Kazmer (resin)]; [FULL Kate Richbourg (metalwork)]; Eva Sherman (cold connections); and {FULL Carrie Story (metal clay)].

What is a Talisman?

Susan Lenart Kazmer explains it well from her perspective: “I am a builder of Talismans and vibe… Long ago, in the 1990’s when parts of the world were still a mystery, it was my passion to travel and explore cultures through out the world. I found a thread of Talismans that ran through all cultures including my own. That is why my work began as Talismans, the practice of embedding words, prayers and energies into objects. In my work, I have built large adornments for museums and prepared small bundles for commercial lines.”

We’ve put together a Pinterest page with some beautiful examples to help you visualize the concept.
